Transport Tips
There are some basic guidelines to remember when preparing your vehicle for transport. The carriers affiliated with FedEx Custom Critical AutoTrans are true professionals, but there are some simple steps you can take to ensure your vehicle is fully protected during transit.

Storage of personal items in the vehicle.
Passport is not responsible for any personal items stored in vehicles during transit or any damage to vehicles caused by these items.

Do not fill the gas tank.
Only ¼ tank of gas is necessary for transit.

Disconnect batteries.
You are responsible for disconnecting the battery of the vehicle. Passport drivers will not disconnect batteries.

Check your antifreeze levels.
If you’re shipping a vehicle from a warm climate to a cold climate, be sure it has a sufficient amount of antifreeze. This will protect it from the cold weather.

Secure loose items in the vehicle.
Storing personal items in vehicles is strongly discouraged. However, if there are any loose items in the vehicle, be sure to secure them. Passport is not responsible for any damage to the loose items or caused by the loose items.

Disable all alarm systems.
Although alarm systems should be disabled, please inform Passport of any alarms and provide instructions for operating the alarm should it be necessary.

Check tire pressure.
Tires should be inflated to their recommended pressure level to insure safe loading and unloading.

Inform us of special handling requirements.
If your vehicle requires any special handling, please provide them in writing at the time of order entry. We will inform you if additional charges apply.
